Stewart’s Walkoff Gives Musketeers Victory Over Mitchell
Musketeers took Wednesday’s game in dramatic fashion, with an 8-7 walk-off victory over Mitchell. The game was tied at seven with Musketeers batting in the bottom of the seventh when Jacob Stewart doubled off of Pridemore, driving in one run.
Musketeers collected nine hits and Mitchell had 17 in the high-scoring affair
Musketeers took an early lead in the first inning. Payton Miller grounded out, scoring one run.
Musketeers scored four runs in the second inning. Musketeers’s big inning was driven by a double by Jacob Stewart, a walk , and a groundout.
Stewart and Miller each collected multiple hits for Musketeers. Cameron Butler and Stewart each drove in two runs to lead Musketeers.
Knowels, Campbell, Allen, and Fults each collected multiple hits for Mitchell. Mitchell was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Haas had the most chances in the field with seven.
