Eastern can’t stop Clarksville’s sixth inning rally in 4-2 loss
Clarksville took the lead in the sixth inning, and Eastern was unable to muster a comeback, losing 4-2 in seven innings on Thursday at Eastern.
Mcmable got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out eight, walked one and surrendered four hits.
Hayden Woolsey ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked five, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
Clarksville didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the sixth inning when it scored on a two-run single by Cimmings.
Clarksville increased its lead with two runs in the seventh. A steal of home scored Philpot to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Mcmable’s single, scoring Leonhandt.
After pushing across one run in the bottom of the seventh, Musketeers faced just a 4-2 deficit. An RBI single by Dawson Petro set off Eastern Musketeers Varsity rally.
