Game Recap

JV lost in two with scores 25-13 WW, 25-13 WW. I thought Jordan Williams stepped up and started calling the ball more, being vocal and helping others get where they needed to be. She did a good job passing the ball and watching the lines. Her serving is staying consistent and she is getting stronger. Savannah Motsinger continues to play hard, be a leader on and off the court, be consistent on her serving, as well as passing the ball to the setter to get the ball in action. She is becoming more vocal and I am glad to see that from her. Grace Rogers hit the ball well and continues to improve in back row.

Varsity won, and played the best I have seen them play so far. They were all moving and hustling after the ball. They played scrappy and got the tips. The first set we were down 0-9 and came back to play 32 points, which really showed that we can finish games and fight through the errors. I thought Marie Terry, Gracie Gibson and Angel Campbell all did well at the net and getting their hitting controlled. I saw a lot more blocking tonight and the coverage was the best I have seen them play. We started communicating and focusing on our serve receive and our serving. We minimized our errors and called for the ball. Angel Campbell is continuing to step up and play a vital role as a leader and is always talking on the court. I thought Courtney Anderson played really well, she had really good digs and passes to Caylee and she attacked the ball from back row and front row. Her serving was consistent and strong. Caylee Graves continues to get her setting where it needs to be, and I was pleased with her setting and how she was able to get digs out of the net and playable. She also did a great job of playing defense first and covering the hitters. Cassidy Bryant continues to be one of our best passers and she was moving after everything, she even controlled her hitting and focused on ball placement. Dallas Roberts was getting after tips and continuously moving to cover our blockers and our hitters.
