Musketeers Falls To Southwestern After Sixth Inning Score
Musketeers lost the lead late in a 4-2 defeat to Southwestern on Monday. The game was tied at two with Southwestern batting in the bottom of the sixth when Stewart singled off of Payton Miller , driving in one run.
Southwestern evened things up at two in the bottom of the fifth inning. Southwestern scored one run when Wynn singled with one out in the fifth inning.
Elliott earned the win for Southwestern. He went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering two runs, four hits, striking out three, and walking zero. Payton Miller took the loss for Musketeers. He pitched one inning, giving up two runs, two hits, striking out one, and walking one.
Clayton Purlee started the game for Musketeers. He pitched five innings, allowing two runs, six hits, and striking out seven.
Ridge Hall and Purlee each drove in one run to lead Musketeers. Musketeers was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Brant Stewart had the most chances in the field with eight.
Southwestern didn’t commit a single error in the field. Stoner had the most chances in the field with six.
