Game Recap

A late come back in the top of the 6th put us back in the game, but we weren’t able to hold on in the 8th. Providence hits the ball well! Our pitching struggled early. Destiny Worley’s (senior) base running was a highlight of the evening. She had a double, single, and several stolen bases. Grace Rogers, a freshman, made her first appearance on the mound and did well. We are still not hitting the ball like I know we can. Overall, our defense did a good job. The outfield has been solid for us so far this season. Our infield is young, but seem to show great improvement. Skylar Stephan had her first start in left field, also a freshman. She played well and got on base in the 6th to get the rally started. I would like to see more focus, and mental toughness in all areas. We had too many wild pitches and passed balls early in the game. If we can get that first victory on the books we would relax a little and play better. Another tough game tomorrow @ Salem.
