News · EHS Wrestlers Advance to Semi State


The Musketeer Wrestling team competed in the Regional at Jeffersonville Saturday.  Six wrestlers competed, and three Musketeers advanced to the semi state next Saturday at Evansville.

Mason Martin lost 3-2 in the Championship match placing him 2nd.

Marcus Martin placed fourth

Time Schedule:                       Weigh-in           8:00 – 8:30 a.m. (CST)

1st Session       9:00 a.m. (CST)

We will run a continuous session all day with breaks only to allow for proper rest for wrestlers.

Spectators:    Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. (CST) and spectators should enter the Ford Center at the front entrance and remember NO coolers or bags will be permitted. The stadium clear bag policy will be in effect.

Tickets:  Tickets are $12.00.  Those wrestlers who advance to Semi State, student manager, Head Coach, Assistant Coach will be allowed in.  The alternates who do not participate have to pay and any coaches beyond the Head Coach and (1) Assistant will have to pay.  THIS IS EXACTLY HOW STATE IS RUN!

Competition Area:       Only participants & coaches are allowed on the competition floor.

Coaches: Only two coaches are permitted to be at the mat when their wrestler is in action.  Chairs will be provided.  Instruct your wrestlers and to stay in the bleachers or the tunnel area when not in action.

Awards:  Ribbons will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place wrestlers. They will be awarded to the weight class following the Championship match.  (Example: 106 lb. awards after 113 lb. Championship match, etc.)  Please have your wrestlers in the award area when they are called.

Videotaping:    Participating schools may videotape by one individual authorized by your school principal. Only use the designated area for videotaping. Equipment, cords, or power will not be supplied by the Ford Center.
