MS XC Teams @ Crawford Invitational

Boys Cross Country Earns 3rd Place Ribbons at Brown County

The boys cross country team competed in the Brown County Eagle Classic Invitational on Saturday, September 14. The overall race, with 40 schools total, is broken down in schools with enrollment of under 1000 (Class A) and over 1000 (Class AA). H. S. Boys’ Tennis Team Defeats Charlestown

Playing MSC foe Charlestown, the Eastern H.S. Boys’ tennis team traveled to Charlestown and defeated the Pirates 3-2.  #2 singles player, Grant Newcomb, won Eastern’s first point with a convincing 6-2, 6-0 victory.  #1 singles player, Alex Doebler, jumped out to leads in both of his sets in defeating his opponent by a 7-5, 6-3

Braves defeat Musketeers

  The Lady Musketeer volleyball teams both were defeated last night by Brownstown.  The 7th grade lost 25-3, 25-11.  The 8th grade lost 25-0, 25-11.  Next Match is @ home against the Cougars of North Harrison.

H.S. Tennis Team Is Edged By Crawford County

#1 singles player, Alex Doebler, and #2 singles player, Grant Newcomb, lost a total of only two games between them to give the Musketeers an early 2-0 team lead against possible sectional opponent, Crawford County.  However, the Wolfpack won close matches at the other three positions to defeat the Musketeers 3-2 on Wednesday, September 11.

East Washington defeats North Harrison

The middle school boys’ tennis team defeated North Harrison in a nail biter last night 3-2 with the match being determined by a tiebreaker in #1 doubles. Individual match scores: #1 Singles – Clayton Purlee won 8-4 #2 Singles – Mason Moore won 8-5 #3 Singles – Sam Everage lost 2-8 #1 Doubles – Michael

MS Volleyball splits with Clarksville

The 7th grade volleyball team  defeated Clarksville with good play and serving,  25-15,  25-19. The 8th grade volleyball team won the first set 25-21 with improved play. They continued to play well but Clarksville came back and won the next two sets, 25-20, 15-13.    

Boys Cross Country Finishes 2nd at Hardy Lake

The boys cross country team brought home 2nd place team ribbons at the Scottsburg Invitational held at Hardy Lake on Tuesday, September 10th. A total of 17 teams competed.
